In 2023, Crete led all regions in Greece with the highest number of hotels, rooms, and bed capacity, boasting 1,643 hotels (16.3% of the total), 99,541 rooms (22.4%), and 196,669 beds (22.1%). Conversely, Western Macedonia had the fewest hotels, with 119 hotels, 2,666 rooms, and 5,795 beds. Overall, Greece had 10,058 hotels, 444,762 rooms, and 888,294 beds in 2023, reflecting a growth of 0.9% in hotels, 2.6% in rooms, and 3.7% in beds compared to 2019, indicating a recovery from pandemic restrictions.
