In 2023, Crete led all regions in Greece with the highest number of hotels, rooms, and bed capacity, boasting 1,643 hotels (16.3% of the total), 99,541 rooms (22.4%), and 196,669 beds (22.1%). Conversely, Western Macedonia had the fewest hotels, with 119 hotels, 2,666 rooms, and 5,795 beds. Overall, Greece had 10,058 hotels, 444,762 rooms, and 888,294 beds in 2023, reflecting a growth of 0.9% in hotels, 2.6% in rooms, and 3.7% in beds compared to 2019, indicating a recovery from pandemic restrictions. More detailed data is available on the Greek Tourism Analytics Dashboard (GTAD) by the Institute of the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (INSETE), which is accessible free of charge and can be customized to individual needs.
