Fáilte Ireland’s statistics from January 2024 reveal a robust hospitality sector in Ireland, with a total of 4,695 accommodation facilities. These include 83,399 rooms/units and 231,925 bed spaces across the country. A significant majority of these, 77.6% of rooms/units and 68.0% of bed spaces, are found within the hotel industry. Among hotels, there is a notable trend towards quality, with 44.3% being four-star and 33.2% three-star establishments, reflecting a tourist preference for mid-to-high-end accommodations.
