In September 2023, the net occupancy rate for bed-places in the Euro area was 51.3%, while for bedrooms, it was 61.9%. According to Eurostat, in March 2024, data for the entire EU and Euro area is not yet available. However, among the countries with available data, Malta (58.6%), Spain (55.8%), and Norway (51.6%) had the highest net occupancy rates. Conversely, Romania (26.7%), North Macedonia (19.8%), and Greece (18.7%) had the lowest rates. Notably, countries are recovering, surpassing pre-pandemic occupancy levels.
