In the first quarter of 2024, Statistics Estonia reported that the average cost of trips abroad by Estonian citizens was EUR 1,162.7. This represents a 20.7% increase compared to the same period in 2019. The most costly trips were those taken for holidays, leisure, and recreation, with an average cost of EUR 1,405.6 in Q1 2024. On the other hand, visits to friends and relatives were the least expensive, averaging at EUR 656.9.
