According to the latest data from Eurostat, the level of disability (activity limitation) by sex, age, and income quintile has been increasing from 2019 to 2022. In 2022, 27% of the EU population experienced self-perceived long-standing limitations in usual activities due to health problems and over one fifth (21.1%) of the EU population was aged 65 and over. This information is essential for developing targeted policies and support systems for individuals with disabilities.
