According to the latest data from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Slovenia, foreign tourists spent 54.0% of their total expenses on accommodation and 17.6% on food during May 2022. Notably, among the lowest proportion of spending (5.5%) was allocated to cultural activities, sports, and excursions. Comparing this to the same period in 2019, accommodation expenses accounted for approximately 63.8% of all foreign tourist expenditures, while spending on cultural activities, sports, and excursions represented only 2.5%. This suggests a potential increase in tourists’ exploration-related expenses.
