Despite representing only 5.6% of the world’s population and 3% of its land area, the EU attracted 45.8% of global international tourism arrivals.Notably, six EU countries — France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Greece, and Austria — ranked among the top 10 global destinations. Malta, Croatia, and Cyprus had the highest percentages of international tourists, with over 90% of tourism nights spent by foreign visitors.
