In 2023, the National Statistical Institute of Bulgaria reported that the largest number of hotels fell within the 25 to 99 bed-places size class, accounting for 51.5% of all hotel sizes. Travelers spent the most nights in hotels with 250 or more bed-places, which constituted over 60.0% of all nights spent. These larger hotels were particularly popular among both resident and non-resident travelers.
