In 2023, the tourism sector in Greece saw the highest number of filled positions in the housekeeping department, with 50,669 roles, followed closely by the Food & Beverage (F&B) department, which had 46,992 filled positions. These departments also faced the most significant shortages, with 12,445 unfilled positions in housekeeping and 12,246 in F&B. Conversely, the spa department had the fewest filled positions, totaling 2,172, and experienced 614 position shortages. For more detailed information, the Greek Tourism Analytics Dashboard (GTAD) by the Institute of the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (INSETE) offers a public statistical database that is freely accessible and can be customized to meet individual needs.
