According to Slovenian Statistical Office, 91% of all trips in Slovenia in 2023 were undertaken for personal reasons, the rest being business trips, a ratio that remained roughly consistent over the previous two years. On average, tourists spent EUR 382 per overnight stay, 11.0% more than in 2022 and 21.0% more than in 2021. Notably, the Statistical Office recorded that average expenditure per overnight stay was 13-14% higher among male tourists than female ones.
