In 2020, the Federal Ministry for Climate Action, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation and Technology (BMK) released a practical guide aimed at assisting Austria’s tourism destinations in adopting sustainable and climate-friendly mobility solutions. It offers step-by-step instructions for practitioners on developing and implementing strategies that promote eco-friendly transportation, improve public transit, and encourage active mobility such as walking and cycling. The guide’s goal is to enhance the appeal of tourism regions while protecting the environment. (The original piece available only in German)
