In celebration of World Tourism Day on September 27, 2024, the EMAS Helpdesk hosted a webinar to demonstrate how the EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) can support tourism businesses in reducing their environmental impact and improving transparency with customers. This event was open to both EMAS-registered and non-registered tourism organizations. Participants were introduced to the basics of EMAS, its benefits for reducing environmental impacts, the sustainability policies of key players like booking platforms, and success stories from tourism companies that have effectively implemented EMAS. The recording of the webinar and the presentations from speakers are available via the attached link.
