The NEREUS (Network of European Regions Using Space Technologies) association hosted an online webinar on October 17th, 2024, focusing on the use of space data for sustainable tourism, particularly in water management. This event is part of a series dedicated to exploring how space technologies can support sustainable tourism. It targeted space clusters within and outside NEREUS, SMEs, companies, and regional stakeholders interested in leveraging space technologies for business.
The webinar included an overview of space and tourism by an expert from the European Space Agency, along with best practices and examples from companies, startups, and universities. Additionally, the session highlighted the Water-ForCE Project, which aims to develop a roadmap for Copernicus water services, as well as the SAFETrail and GoldenTwins projects.
