The European Cultural Tourism Network (ECTN), in partnership with the European Travel Commission (ETC), Europa Nostra, and Network of European Regions for Sustainable and Competitive Tourism (NECSTouR), has launched the 12th edition of the Destination of Sustainable Cultural Tourism Awards 2025.

Tourist destinations across Europe - along with national, regional, and local authorities, tourism boards, destination management organisations, museums, interpretation centres, cultural routes, festivals, and cultural NGOs - are invited to showcase their achievements in sustainable cultural tourism.

This year’s theme highlights the importance of enhancing visitor experiences and celebrating authenticity to build sustainable, smart, and resilient cultural tourism destinations. The application deadline is 15 May 2025, and the winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony during the 18th International Conference for Cultural Tourism in Sibiu, Romania, from 1 to 4 October 2025.
