The Sustainable Tourism in the Mediterranean side event, part of the Sun&Blue Tourism and Blue Economy Congress 2024 in Almería, Spain, organized by WestMED and Interreg Euro-MED, aims to foster sustainable tourism practices in the Mediterranean region. Scheduled for 21 November 2024, the event will feature two sessions. The first session will offer regional tourism departments and Destination Management Organizations practical guidance on creating climate action plans. The second session will focus on boosting the competitiveness and sustainability of coastal and maritime tourism, contributing to a smart and resilient blue economy. The event will include expert panels, stakeholder discussions, and networking opportunities. Participation requires registration for the Sun&Blue Tourism and Blue Economy Congress 2024, which involves a fee.
