The Women in Rail Award 2025, organised by the European Commission’s Women in Transport Platform in collaboration with key EU rail sector bodies, aims to celebrate and promote gender equality, diversity, and inclusion within the railway industry. The award recognises outstanding women and initiatives that have significantly contributed to the sector and supported the advancement of other women. It features four categories and is open to individuals and organisations across the EU rail ecosystem. The initiative is part of a broader effort to address the underrepresentation of women in rail, where they currently make up only around 20% of the workforce. Applications can be submitted via the link provided on the website by 6 June 2025.
