EIT Urban Mobility has launched the Urban Mobility Explained (UMX) Open Call to support the development and implementation of sustainable training programmes that address urban mobility challenges across Europe.
This call focuses on specific areas aimed at enhancing the skills and capacities of mobility professionals and organisations—particularly at the local and city levels—to drive systemic change and foster more liveable urban environments. Example topics include: Mobility Digitalisation and Connectivity, Future Mobility and Trends, Green Infrastructure, Micro and Active Mobility, Mobility and Energy, Inclusive Mobility, Multimodality, Pollution Reduction and Health, Transport Policy and Planning, Urban Design and Placemaking, among others.
Proposals may include:
- Development, delivery, and commercialisation of face-to-face courses
- Replication, scaling, or redesign of successful commercial training programmes
- Sales and operational support for customised training pathways
Eligible applicants include legal entities from EU Member States or Horizon Europe-associated countries—such as SMEs, universities, municipalities, and large enterprises.
The total indicative funding available through EIT for this call ranges from EUR 2 million to EUR 4 million, with a maximum of EUR 700,000 per proposal.
The submission deadline is 30 September 2025 at 17:00 CEST, and selected projects are expected to commence in February 2026.
