The Centro Regional Programme (Centro2030) has issued a tender, allocating EUR 11 million of European funds to position Portugal's Central region as a sustainable tourist destination. This initiative seeks to increase the region's attractiveness by supporting projects that develop or enhance integrated and high-quality tourism offerings. Projects must align with the strategic pillars that organise the region's resources and products: Culture, History, Heritage, and Gastronomy and Wines; Nature, Wellness, Active and Sports Tourism and Sea; Spiritual and Religious Tourism; Corporate and Business Tourism; and Lifestyle, Inspirational, and New Trends. Intermunicipal communities are eligible to apply, with more criteria available through the attached link (The original piece available only in Portuguese).
