The Zukunftsagentur Rheinisches Revier GmbH provides funding to promote sustainable and innovative tourism projects in the Rheinisches Revier region of Germany. Eligible projects focus on transformation, history and culture, activities and recreation, cycling, and water. Examples include the expansion and modernisation of hiking, cycling, and riding trails; digitisation efforts to enhance visitor management, information, and experience quality; and the development of meeting and event spaces with a tourism focus (excluding gastronomy and accommodation).
Eligible applicants include municipalities and municipal associations within the Rheinisches Revier support area, legal entities under their authority, companies and institutions of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia with full or joint federal sponsorship, and other legal entities if the project serves a public purpose. Applications must be submitted by 5 May 2025 (The original piece available only in German).
