The Italian Ministry of Tourism has introduced a funding initiative to support tourism businesses in Italy with up to EUR 2,000 for obtaining, maintaining or renewing sustainability certifications.

The Italian Ministry of Tourism has launched a fund under Public Notice No. 2 to promote sustainable practices within the national tourism sector. This initiative offers financial support to tourism enterprises and accommodation facilities in Italy for the acquisition, renewal, or maintenance of recognised sustainability certifications.
Eligible applicants include tourism-related businesses and accommodation providers operating in Italy. Each approved applicant may receive a voucher of up to EUR 2,000 to cover certification-related expenses. Applications must be submitted electronically, along with the required documentation, by 31 December 2025 (The original piece available only in Italian).
