The Single Market Programme (SMP) is an EU funding initiative designed to maximize the potential of the single market and support Europe’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. With a budget of €4.2 billion for 2021-2027, the SMP aims to improve the functioning of the internal market, boost the competitiveness and sustainability of small and medium-sized enterprises, ensure high levels of consumer protection and food safety, and promote fair competition across the EU. The SMP provides an integrated package of measures to support these goals, ensuring the single market works effectively for citizens and businesses alike.
