France Chimie is rolling out a support program dedicated to chemical manufacturers, to help them control their water use and take steps to improve the water efficiency of their sites with long-term measures to reduce water withdrawals. This program is led with technical support from consultant Aquassay and with financial support from the Seine Normandy Water Agency. It includes 3 major actions:

1) Raising operators' awareness of water-related issues: France Chimie organized several webinars for members, attended by some 100 participants. Presentations of issues and actions by local authorities of Normandy and Hauts de France, and presentation of possible financial support by Water Agency of Rhin Meuse.

2) Creation of a self-assessment tool to identify water-related issues for the site and assess the site's level of mastery on this subject. This tool has been shared with France Chimie members in March 2023. Link: https://youtu.be/HAKocM0Qu7M

3) Creation of a practical water guide to provide concrete solutions: Its aim is to raise companies' awareness of water-related issues and the many benefits of better water management at their sites, and to provide solutions for the various measures that can be taken to improve water management. The guide has been shared with chemical companies during summer 2023. Lastly the guide has been completed with case studies provided by companies.
