Atout France has been tasked with the operational management of France's national tourism labels, "Qualité Tourisme" and "Tourisme & Handicap," starting May 1, 2024. These labels will become state-certified, aiming to improve quality and sustainability in the tourism sector. The new "Destination d'excellence" label will replace "Qualité Tourisme" and include stricter eco-responsibility criteria. This initiative seeks to modernize tourism standards and encourage more sustainable practices across the industry. (The original piece available only in French)
