A recent EU survey reveals that a majority of Europeans support the digitalization of travel documents, with 68% favoring digital travel documents for extra-Schengen travel and 66% preferring a single application for use across the EU. The survey highlights that digital travel documents are associated with shorter waiting times at borders, more convenient travel procedures, and smoother international travel.
