The Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2024/2662, adopted on 14 October 2024, establishes a standardized application form for the EU Emergency Travel Document (ETD). This decision also updates the technical specifications and security features outlined in the previous Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/2452. The new form aims to streamline the process for unrepresented EU citizens in third countries to obtain emergency travel documents. Additionally, it includes provisions for the return of these documents upon arrival at the final destination.
