The European Accessibility Act, a directive adopted by the European Union in 2019, aims to harmonise accessibility standards across the EU, making it easier for people with disabilities to access various services, including those provided by tourism companies. This means that tourism companies, such as airlines, cruise lines, train operators, and tour operators, among others, need to comply with accessibility requirements for persons with disabilities.
Ensure compliance with the new rules and complete the necessary adjustments before the directive comes into force on 28 June 2025.
