Regulation (EU) No 692/2011, adopted in July 2011, establishes a common framework for the systematic development, production, and dissemination of European statistics on tourism. To support informed decision-making and promote competitive, sustainable, and environmentally friendly travel throughout Europe, it attempts to provide standardised data on supply and demand for tourism across Member States.
