The 2024/2025 Monitor for Circular Fashion report is now available. This report is part of a multi-year research project by the SDA Bocconi School of Management's Sustainability Lab. The project involves a multistakeholder community, including leading companies in the Italian fashion industry and their supply chain partners.
The initiative aims to identify best practices and promote technical, managerial, and scientific skills within circular fashion. The report analyses the evolution of industry dynamics, examines their impact, and aligns them with the UN Agenda 2030. It also identifies key qualitative and quantitative indicators in circular fashion.
Key topics include new EU sustainability and circularity legislation, such as the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). The report presents findings from SDA Bocconi's research, focusing on ecodesign maturity, biodiversity, social impact, and governance. Additionally, it provides a roadmap for navigating change in the fashion industry, highlighting the role of technology, circular fashion priorities, and managerial guidelines.
