The SEA4NEB project (2022-2024) aims at promoting social economy models to contribute to the New EU Bauhaus and at how they can foster spatial and sectorial clusters, taking an ecological approach to cultural cooperation and territorial development with local authorities. It focuses on good practices of 'SEA NEBs', which are territories regenerated according to NEB principles by or with a strong intervention of SEAs and local authorities in Croatia, Latvia and Italy.

As Europe faces an array of societal challenges, the integration of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) principles into local policies stands as a promising approach. This report created under the SEA4NEB project offers a series of guidelines. These recommendations seek to mainstream social economy practices while promoting a more inclusive, sustainable, and aesthetically enriching future for European communities. By embracing the collaborative spirit of the social economy and the NEB, Europe can advance towards a more equitable and vibrant future for all its citizens.
The report emphasises several crucial areas for development:
• Fostering Entrepreneurship and Employment: By nurturing local entrepreneurship, the recommendations aim to generate employment opportunities and stimulate economic growth within communities.
• Promoting Inclusion: A strong focus on social inclusion ensures that all members of the community are represented and have access to opportunities, thereby promoting equity.
• Urban and Rural Regeneration: The recommendations advocate for strategies that rejuvenate both urban and rural areas, creating vibrant spaces that enhance the quality of life for residents.
• Cluster Partnership Approach: By encouraging collaboration among various stakeholders, including public institutions and social economy actors, the recommendations highlight the importance of collective action in achieving NEB goals.
The development of these policy recommendations was guided by Peer Review Cycles, Local Action Plans (LAPs) and Good Practice collation, all a key part of fostering effective partnerships between public institutions and social economy actors. This collaboration is essential in amplifying the impact of the NEB at both local and European levels. By pooling the collective expertise and resources of various stakeholders, the policy recommendations aim to create a synergistic effect that promotes the NEB's vision for a brighter future.
