CityDNA, or City Destinations Alliance, is a European knowledge-sharing alliance for cities and urban regions. It highlights the unique characteristics of each city, fostering innovation and collaboration. CityDNA supports Destination Management Organizations (DMOs) in promoting the visitor economy’s benefits, such as social inclusion and cultural enrichment. The alliance advocates for sustainable and responsible tourism that benefits people, places, and the planet. Inspired by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goal #11, CityDNA’s logo reflects its commitment to making cities inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. The strategy “Welcoming Wegeneration” guides the alliance’s efforts until 2026, emphasizing collective action and co-creation.
