Several European airlines now offer the convenience of combining air and rail travel under a single ticket, enabling integrated, seamless journeys. According to Euronews, one such airline is Italy’s ITA Airways, which launched this service in 2023. It allows travellers to book train connections at both the departure and arrival points of their flights—including destinations in the UK—covering much of Europe.
Other airlines embracing this combined mobility model include Air France, Austrian Airlines, TAP Portugal, Lufthansa, and KLM. These initiatives aim to make travel more cost-effective, seamless, and environmentally sustainable.
