Welcome to the EU Proximity and Social Economy Platform, the latest addition to the series of transition pathways platforms dedicated to the 14 industrial ecosystems identified in the 2020 EU Industrial Strategy. This platform is designed to serve as a comprehensive hub for proximity and social economy stakeholders engaged in fostering local economies, environmental sustainability, and digital innovation.
The platform serves as a multifaceted resource and community, providing registered users with a range of opportunities for growth and collaboration, including discussion forums to connect with peers and dedicated thematic areas to help stay informed about exciting developments in the ecosystem.
Collaborate, Innovate, and Grow
The platform offers the opportunity to join up to seven thematic areas, each providing a focused environment for stakeholders to collaborate on specific topics. For instance, a social economy organisation looking to expand its reach within its local community can join the 'partnerships' thematic workspace to connect with others looking for partners for future projects. It might also be the case that a local business wants to reach more customers through digital platforms. By joining the ‘Transformative Digital Transition’ workspace, they might find useful tips from peers.
For those looking for inspiration from across Europe, the platform showcases successful pledges and best practices from various organisations and users. Browsing through these submissions may spark new ideas and provide insights into impactful initiatives. Members will be able to collaborate using the user-friendly discussion forums which allows any registered user to start or join conversations on different topics. This feature is ideal for users seeking to clarify doubts, brainstorm ideas, share best practices, or simply connect with peers from all backgrounds.
Stay informed with tailored content
Use the calendar to stay up to date with new funding opportunities and upcoming events. It can be personalised to display information based on content type, country of interest, and organisation type, ensuring users find what is most relevant to them.
In the 'Stay informed' tab, users will find the latest news, including updates on legislation, policies, and projects within the ecosystem. This resource is intended to keep stakeholders informed about important developments in the sector.
Social economy actors might already be familiar with the Social Economy Gateway, an information hub on the latest developments of this part of the ecosystem. The EU Proximity and Social Economy Platform extends its scope to the proximity economy, and invites members to get actively involved in the community, by sharing ideas and knowledge.
Explore the platform and become a user
Register to the platform as a user to take full advantage of all its functionalities. By joining, you will connect with the broader proximity and social economy ecosystem, get access to the thematic areas, and enjoy a personalised homepage designed to support your needs and interests.
