On 9 July 2025, the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport announced that the European Commission had adopted an implementing decision outlining key milestones and deadlines for the Rail Baltica project. This major cross-border railway initiative is designed to fully integrate Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania into the EU rail network by 2030, significantly enhancing connectivity across the European Union. The decision reflects the EU’s broader commitment to developing seamless, sustainable, and secure transport infrastructure.
