The European Travel Commission (ETC), a non-profit organisation that represents Europe's national tourism bodies and promotes the continent as a travel destination, has pledged to support lower-carbon, multimodal travel across Europe. As part of this initiative, the organisation will continue its partnership with Eurail on the Rail Tourism Awards until at least 2030, introducing a new category for multimodal travel in 2025. The organisation also plans to continue encouraging travellers to choose more sustainable transport options and to explore lesser-known destinations through interconnected travel modes.
