This summer, European travel demand demonstrated strong momentum, with foreign arrivals increasing by 6% compared to 2019 and year-on-year growth at 7%. However, the rise in protests against mass tourism, geopolitical tensions, and high services inflation - which results in higher travel costs (tourists are expected to spend 10.3% more in 2024 compared to 2023) - poses significant risks to Europe's recovery in 2024.
