European tourism has shown remarkable resilience in early 2025, with foreign arrivals increasing by 4.9% across all reporting destinations in Q1 2025 compared to the same period last year, and overnight stays rising by 2.2%. Despite this sustained momentum and the sector's resilience, 2025 is expected to be a year of heightened uncertainty due to geopolitical tensions, economic challenges, and evolving consumer travel behaviours.
For more detailed insights into the dynamic performance of European tourism during the winter and spring of 2025, please refer to our post on the European Travel Commission's (ETC) latest report via the attached link.
