In 2023, Italy secured third place worldwide and second in Europe in the ICCA rankings for MICE tourism, hosting over 520 meetings. Rome and Milan also saw improvements in their European standings. The rise of "bleisure" travel, blending business and leisure, is leading to longer stays and increased spending. This trend highlights Italy's growing attractiveness as a premier destination for international business events, enhancing its global profile in the MICE tourism sector.
