Greek lawmakers are currently debating new regulations aimed at curbing overtourism, according to Euronews. The proposed rules would ban renovated warehouses, underground spaces, and former industrial properties from being listed on rental platforms like Airbnb. Additionally, property owners would receive tax incentives to move away from short-term rentals. The objective is to enforce minimum operational and safety standards, fostering long-term, sustainable, and high-quality tourism in Greece.
