According to Travel Tomorrow, night trains in France saw record-breaking popularity in 2024, with over one million passengers and a 26% rise in usage compared to the previous year. It notes that routes such as Paris-Toulouse and Paris-Nice were especially popular, with occupancy rates exceeding 80%. However, it warns that growth may be limited by a shortage of sleeper carriages and calls for a network redesign to better connect major cities beyond Paris.
