Turismo de Portugal has introduced a new certification to enhance accessible tourism, based on the International Standard ISO 21902:2021. This initiative seeks to evaluate and classify tourist services based on their accessibility, reinforcing Portugal's reputation as an inclusive and accessible travel destination. The certification is voluntary and will be granted by accredited organisations after an audit of accessibility conditions.

For further information on this initiative, launched on 5 February 2025, please refer to the attached link (The original piece available only in Portuguese).
