According to new research from the European Federation for Transport and Environment AISBL, up to 2.4 million European electric vehicles (EVs) could be made from locally sourced recycled battery materials by 2030. This figure could reach 10 million by 2035 and 15 million by 2040. This represents a huge opportunity for the EU and the UK to source materials sustainably and locally. However, strong policies will be necessary to realise this potential. For more details, explore the full study via the link on the left-hand side of the platform.
