Salzburger Verkehrsverbund GmbH announces the introduction of a ‘Guest Mobility Ticket’, a public transport guest ticket, in the Province of Salzburg, Austria. Starting from 1 May 2025, tourists will be able to use all regional public transport—including urban transit, regional buses, suburban railways, regional and long-distance trains, and micro-mobility services—free of charge, funded by a new mobility fee included in their accommodation costs. This initiative aims to reduce traffic congestion, promote sustainable tourism, and enhance public transport services for both visitors and residents.
