According to Travel Tomorrow, the European Union is considering the implementation of a unified train ticket booking system by 2026, aimed at simplifying and enhancing the convenience of rail travel across its member states. This initiative seeks to address the current challenges passengers face with multiple national booking platforms for cross-border travel, promoting trains as a sustainable and efficient mode of transport. The proposed system is part of a broader EU effort to enhance connectivity and integrate transportation networks across Europe.
