Aceccat, in its strategic plan, has the mission to establish actions focused on the digitization of the tourism sector. The actions focus on the development of platforms and digital dapps (decentralized applications), implementation points in rural areas of Digital Tourism Offices, circular events, showrooms, conferences, trainings, consulting and opening of investment funds.

The results are potentially measurable under the same digital platforms which are used daily by users and stakeholders within the project.
The investments are designed for the development of the software, design and creation of the platforms as well as the necessary resources. Different rounds of investment are foreseen depending on the timing of the developments as well as the different stages of the implementation projects. First round: 200k February 2024. Second round: 350 K June 2024. The projects are implemented in 2023-2024.

There are several metrics that can be used for projects in the tourism sector for the transition pathway. Some common metrics include :
1. Economic impact: This metric measures the economic contribution of the tourism industry, such as the total revenue generated, Jobs created, and taxes paid
2. Environment impact: This metric evaluates the environmental footprint of tourism activities, including greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption, waste generation, and habitat destruction
3. Social impact: This metric assesses the social benefits and cost of tourism, including the well-being of local communities, cultural preservation, and the positive or negative effects on the quality of life of residents
4. Sustainable tourism indicators: These metrics focus on measuring the extent to which tourism activities are sustainable, including indicators related to resource use, conservation efforts, community engagement and adherence to responsible tourism practices
5. Visitor satisfaction: This metrics gauges the satisfaction levels of tourists , including aspects such as accommodation, transportation, attractions and services offered
6. Stakeholder engagement: This metric measures the involvement and satisfaction of various stakeholders, including local communities , businesses, and government organizations, In the planning and implementation of tourism projects
7. Tourism competitiveness: This metric evaluates the competitiveness of a destination or tourism project, such as market share, visitor expenditure, branding, and destination management

We selected these metrics for the tourism sector for the transition pathway. The specific metrics chosen will depend on the goals, objectives and focus of the project. All actions are tracked and measured in terms of impact results in the localized areas in project implementation, pilot projects, levels of success of the organization, KPIs for measuring the improvement of digitized processes, territorial impact and expansion, as well as the measurement of the technological development roadmap.

The frequency of the results through the digital platform / Dapp is high. The data storage is updated and shared every day. The data is transferred in real-time and shared with decision-making stakeholders.

The investment has different stages of evolution, being at the moment at the third round of investment in value of 300k. Recent investments have accelerated R&D, which we foresee will support the next round at 150k in six-eight months (February 2024). Initiatives are being carried out with investment funds to have a scope of 1.5M investment in 1 year (March 2024). The investment is focused on the development of R&D integrating digital platforms, Dapp, and incorporation of advanced technologies with AI, IoT, Blockchain, VR...

This pledge contributes to several topics of the Transition Pathway for Tourism.
