ECF commits to promote high quality cycle routes and EuroVelo routes through its methodology, European Certification Standard, identifying three categories of users with specific needs to be addressed: regular, occasional or demanding long-distance cycle route users. Demanding users include handbikes or tandem users.
Cycling tourism can be experienced by all types of users, especially considering the growth of E-bikes, but also adapted bicycles for those having mobility or conditions specific needs (tricycles, handbikes, tandem, etc).
ECF commits to promote initiatives and good practices for accessible cycling tourism as much as possible, bringing visibility to concrete actions and experiences via its website, social media channels, events or projects.
Concrete action:
- 1 article per year promoting the accessibility of EuroVelo for all
Target:
- More EuroVelo daily sections answering the needs to demanding users.
