The pledge focuses on just transition, namely a transition that is both ecological and social/inclusive. We will select examples of just transition initiatives in eight Member States of the EU and identify their conditions of success, such as the role of governance model, partnership, local public authorities and citizens involvement, or legislative/institutional context. The output will be a report by the end of 2023. We expect transfer of experience and the start of new similar initiatives.
