The Swedish Ministry of Climate and Enterprise integrate tourism in the overall industry and enterprise policy work. Initiatives to promote destination management and place making is first and foremost handled on regional and local level. The Ministry has a strong focus on better regulations and the relief of administrative burdens for small tourism companies. Old regulations (permit applications etc) related to the hospitality sector has been removed and replaced with easier registration procedures. 

At national level, the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth is assigned to produce and process tourism statistics and analysis and spread knowledge about tourism to stakeholders. They also form networks with other national agencies, with regional and local organisations and industry organisations.

Visit Sweden is a state owned marketing company. They promote Sweden as an attractive and welcoming tourist destination. They also provice analysis and knowledge to stakeholders.
