In 2019, Radisson Hotel Group decided to implement a centralized communication and task management platform to connect our headquarters with all our hotel locations via the use of the cloud-based Hotel Operations Platform called ‘hotelkit’. The goal is to optimize the collaboration and communication in the individual hotels as well as between headquarters and the different sites. hotelkit allows hotel team members to connect digitally, communicate SOPs and best practices transparently and easily via one digital platform, and is aligned with the Group’s Responsible Business pillar to digitalize paper trails in its hotels, thereby minimizing use of paper.

Currently, nearly 300 Radisson Hotel Group properties in Europe are working successfully with hotelkit. The tool has been implemented in all managed and leased European properties, and we plan to roll it out globally to our portfolio of over 700 hotels in operations in the coming five years, as a second stage as the Group continues to expand.

The implementation of hotelkit has led to higher productivity, improved collaboration, and lower expenses. With hotelkit, individual hotels can learn from one another, exchange ideas and processes, and deliver unified quality standards. hotelkit offers rapid, reliable, and detailed communication for items such as repair orders, guest requests, and work assignments which makes it possible for employees to prioritize tasks, maintain an efficient overview, and always deliver our signature ‘Yes, I can’ service. Everything is done on time and swiftly, thereby boosting the productivity of the entire team. Daily digital workflows and recurring digital checklists can be automatically assigned to employees, thus reducing each hotel’s paper use. The digital collaboration platform allows Radisson Hotel Group to define detailed process steps, resulting in seamless process documentation and a constant overview of work status.
