The Armenian Tourism Development Strategy 2020-2030, published in November, 2019, by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, aims to enhance government policy effectiveness in tourism by involving various stakeholders. It envisions transforming Armenia’s tourism potential into a competitive and attractive industry both domestically and internationally. The strategy focuses on increasing visitor numbers, promoting internal tourism, diversifying tourism offerings, expanding tourist experiences, and improving infrastructure and services. Additionally, it seeks to elevate Armenia’s global tourism profile and strengthen the tourism education and professional qualification system, all while promoting sustainable tourism practices (The original piece available only in Armenian).
