The General Directorate of Economy, Trade, and Tourism, in collaboration with the National Association of Inbound and Domestic Tourism of Moldova (ANTRIM), experts in urban architecture and history, and business representatives, introduced a strategy for Chișinău municipality in 2022. This strategy is designed to foster sustainable development, establish clear strengths and benchmarks for improving the city's tourist image, create a unique identity, and diversify the tourist offerings over the period of 2022-2026. The focus is on enhancing infrastructure, promoting cultural heritage, leveraging natural assets, boosting tourism revenues, and increasing visitor numbers. The strategy outlines concrete steps to improve accessibility, develop new tourist attractions, and strengthen marketing efforts (The original piece available only in Romanian).
